"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand - and the deed to happiness in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!"

there was a break in time
a moment of question
resulting in a purpose, and a lesson

we find our best connections in the deepest of conversation
you came to me, asked me for help
i'm bursting

you've taught me a world of invaluable things
applied together, this is something destined for forever
and don't we know it?

blind to the reason
unable to understand
(i do, but i hurt)
would write in capitals if it would make more sense
or mimic my voice

let the tears speak
read my cheeks
baby, where's the love
of self, of truth

what blinds me,
blinds them... and you?

a year is coming on the seventh day

a year to mark what I know inside
twelve months celebrated to prove what is felt
there is no end to the love
it is real, and it is strong

if there was a secret to be learned- it's no longer tied away from our grasp,
but rather driving us to a year, and beyond
life is ours, we are here to be love and be loved
compromise and butterflies
right, L?

I love you, Loren.
I celebrate a year with you
With a heart of gratefulness and joy
and love, SO MUCH LOVE

take a trip into the rain
bare in the cold and warm in intention
looked to the left-behind and was impressed

there was a silent current over my words
quiet and opaque enough to make it seem, alright
something lingered there, that's different now
a geometric mind pattern gone soft
and in a line of the best dressed
i stand, apparently, as bare as any leaf-less tree
so i'm sure it is as obvious to you, as me

i've gained more than i've lost
and what's lost has only been transformed
different in theory, same in name
colors become gradients
many shades, the idea of grey
i could never pick just one
and here, a spectrum, and i choose it all
